Despite the Progressive’s attachment to the theory of evolution as their name suggests, Progressives are anything but progressive. You see the logic that escapes the Progressive is that nature is truly progressive. Nature moves in cycles. The most recognizable cycle is that of the seasons. In the Spring, nature is reborn and flourishes in the Summer. In the Fall, nature begins to cleanse itself as it dies in the Winter. The parts of nature that are the strongest live through the winter to relive the cycle again. So how do we make the connection between nature and capitalism?
There is no fairness in nature? Survival of the fittest is the only law. Does the Lion on the Serengeti not kill the weakest gazelle when they hunt for food? Does the weather adjust itself for the poor penguin in the arctic or does the penguin adjust to the weather? Progressives embrace our animal nature only when it is convenient for them. With the natural aspects of man rooted in individualism and competition, Progressives curse the most natural aspects of human nature as some type of disorder. They also are the ones that get to determine what is natural and what is a disorder. Despite their devotion to liberalism which amounts to the tearing down of all boundaries that nature has defined, they feel that achieving a free and fair society is to put up boundaries in form of new laws. You see the Liberal does not wish to pay attention to the weather but rather wishes to become the weather. They wish to determine what the rest of America should adjust to in the name of whatever special interest or unquenchable desire that they wish to somehow quench.
So as the pro-choice elitist Liberal/Progressive wishes to decide what the majority of the country should find interest in, should buy, and should eat, they denounce anyone that dares to question the illogical evolution of their thinking. The type of thinking that generates a false consensus that a government similar to China or the Soviet Union could produce a healthy environment. Regardless of the history of Chernobyl and the pollution of the Gansu Province, Fan Jai Zhuang in Anyang City in the Henan Province, the Anhui Province Cihu Chemical Industry District, and the heavily polluted Yangtze River in China, liberals see the authoritarian system as some utopia that can cure all ills. Deep inside it is all about ignoring the laws of nature and defining the laws themselves. It is simply a lust for power and at its roots a desire to be gods.
How is it that a group of intellectual elite politicians in Washington DC can effectively determine the desires and wishes of 350 million American’s? Shouldn’t these Americans choose what they wish to purchase or believe? In simple terms, would a politician know how many hot dogs to have ready for all stadiums around the country on Sunday? Or should we trust the individuals wishing to capitalize on their own intelligence running their vending business in order to support their family? Is it necessary for these professional temporary politicians to determine what type of light bulb is right for us? Or can we make responsible decisions? Is it necessary for these politicians to determine what type of shower head to buy? Or can our townships determine what is good for our local environment? It seems to me that the natural evolution of man is not to be herded in a direction by the most popular shepherds in the nation but rather be free to decide what is best for themselves and their family.
So now we shift to the politics. You see the Liberal/Progressive’s are not satisfied with the natural progress of man. They only wish to define the progress that they desire. They believe, in there own Ivy League defined world, that they are the only people that can determine what is best for the country. Despite their own natural self interests, they wish to define what Americans should be allowed to have interest in. Evidence is seen almost weekly with the Obamas speaking out against unhealthy eating while pictures are posted all over the internet with them eating chili dogs and French fries. The Progressives claim that man is imperfect and needs to be directed by laws but exclude themselves from this pool of imperfection. Liberal/Progressives wish to protect the middle class but due irreversible damage with their policies which are supported by big businesses and big banks they are destroying the middle class. They deny that the dwindling size of the middle class and growing divide between the so called “wealthy” and the “poor” over the last two decades has anything to do with the increase in government over the last two decades.
This post is in no way a call for no government or no laws. Obviously there needs to be a civil government in order to sustain a peaceful society. What this post is about is how an overbearing government can be the cause for an uncivil society. If we are to speak in the terms of the “Occupy Wall Street”; why is it that when the government takes tax dollars from hard working Americans and gives it to “greedy” banks on Wall Street in the form of a bailout It is because they believe they know how to manage the markets of the world. Once again it is the Shepard mentality. There are billions of individuals deciding on which stocks to buy and to sell for their retirement and pensions but for some reason, these elitists believe that they can steer the current of the financial river. In fact they know very little about what the world desires and it is they that have caused the bubbles that have crashed our system.
So why is it that the Occupy crowd pickets Wall Street in their anger of banks? Banks only make up a small portion of the stocks traded on Wall Street. Many of these stocks exist in mutual fund portfolios that make up pensions that so many of the protesters demand for Americans. Tearing down Wall Street is not the solution to the countries ills. Getting government out of Wall Street is. These acts of OWS are not evolutionary they are revolutionary. Tearing down Wall Street is the desires of those that hate capitalism. Many have been sold the lie of some grander scheme that will bring a sustainable resource based economy. Instead it is the carrot that will lead them into the prison of tyranny.
What we are seeing on Wall Street isn’t progressive by any means. Free speech doesn’t include terrorism on a city or nation by shutting down its economic infrastructure. Although the anger in this movement is justified in some respect, it is pointed in the wrong direction. The government has created laws to benefit big banks and big businesses as political pay offs. Banks don’t create laws. The government has created laws that benefit the so called rich. When you make regulations that make it harder for people to do business, you eliminate competition. The anger should not be pointed in the direction of the law abiders or the law enforcers but rather the law breakers.
What is happening on Wall Street is a collection of confused and uneducated people that have been infiltrated by dissidents and malcontents. They too don’t recognize their own self interests. The protesters want more distribution of wealth from the 1 % but do not want the homeless within there ranks. They are provoking the police and trying to create a situation that produces violence. What they don’t know is that they are simple foot soldiers in a movement to march in an authoritarian government.
The solutions do not lie in the hands of a select few in government. They should never rely simply on that. The decisions should be in the hands of the American people. Liberating the states from the federal government would allow the people to become more involved in their futures. They would be able to determine what system they wished to have in their state. If California wishes to create a socialist utopia within the confines of the US Constitution, they could try it. It should however not affect Texas which wishes to allow its people to support themselves. The answer is not more control by the elites in DC but less control.
Evolution does exist and can be proven. I am not speaking of the “Theory of Evolution” but rather the evolution of the innovations of man. Man doesn’t evolve from force. They are oppressed by force. Laws are force. The more laws we create, the more force on its people is created. When the force is not defined and clear, there is chaos and tyranny. When our temporarily elected officials write 1200 page laws and do not read them, the American people have lost. When man is unleashed to pursue their self interests with the incentive of profit as a reward for their labor, inventions like the automobile, electricity, and the computer can be realized.
What we are witnessing in this country are the powerful people around the world not wishing to lose their power. They are now willing to allow the uncontrollable forces of the desires of millions of people to create a demand for what they want and entrepreneurs to provide that. The elite hate entrepreneurs because they are a threat for their claim of the market share. The only way to hold down those that are more innovative is to collude with those that make laws and enforce them. The Occupiers that hate the police are pushing to create a police state.
Tearing off the shackles of fascism in order to install the straps of communism isn’t the answers to our ills. We must return to what made our country great. We must rely on the productive American people. It is the ingenuity of American innovation that will bring us sustainable energy. It is brilliance of the American desire for greatness that will lead this world to prosperity. It is the foundation that our American founders that planted the seed for this greatness that will restore America as a beacon of freedom around the world for all to admire. It is this brilliant light that citizens of other countries will envy and work to imulate our greatness in their own. America is innovation. America’s freedom is the incentive for all of those around the world. America is the answer.
