Hippies
The Vietnam War brought much stress on the Untied States in the 1960’s and 1970’s. The stress brought a huge counterculture which has sent ripples throughout our nation in the size of a tsunami. In this post we will attempt to describe the effects of this movement and how Marxism went from the underground to the main stream and the beginning of the Dialectic Process was implemented to bring Communism to America..

Most people think of the Hippie movement was one that was started in the 60’s as a bohemian type movement in the United States. The only aspect that was unique was the name. The Wandervogel was a group in Germany. Initially the Wandervogel was a scouting group which emphasized a back to nature ideology and a life based on romanticism. The Wandervogal was grouped into the “German Youth Movement”.

The German Youth Movement used an educational philosophy based on an older youth teaching a younger youth rather than an adult teaching the youth. This aspect of their group was a principle taught by 20th century German educational reformer and self professed free thinker Gustav Wyneken. His belief of “Pädagogischer Eros” was that of the attraction between teacher and student. It was also influenced by the Ancient Greek Platonic ‘Ladder of Beauty' model of same sex relationships. Together these principles would ignore the former traditional culture and search for a new more enlightening culture based on the nihilistic philosophy similar to that of Friedrich Nietzsche. In short it looked to the inner self for inspiration rather than God. Later this group would be sought out by Hitler for the purpose to spread nationalist propaganda throughout the youth culture.

This model was perceived as extremely successful by the Frankfurt Marxists and groups like SDS. In order to make radical change, these Marxists knew that they had to create a huge chasm between the traditional Christian culture and the youth. To do this they brought disenfranchisement. The chasm was built with the help of so called mind expanding drugs. These drugs would allow the individual to strip down the boundaries given to them by strong traditional values. The movement would pull the youth from the family and project the expectations of their future amongst the youth. Their teachers would be musicians and movie stars who they were able to relate to because of their similarities in age. This group would be the Hippies.

The sole purpose of the Hippie movement was to destroy family values and cut off the line of communication and influence of parental guidance. It was sold as a way to expand the mind. Those wishing to participate would be plunged into obscurity within a communal landscape hitch-hiking across the country experiencing life in the name of redefining it. Groups like the Merry Pranksters, led by Ken Kesey who wrote “One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest”, would have heavy influence in the Hippie culture by creating and pushing LSD to create this chasm.

Pornography - thesis
Within this counterculture rose the specter of pornography. This liberation of morals created a paradox in society which was an evil function in the Socialist agenda. It was the functioning thesis a part of the dialectic process in American society. Its purpose was the destruction of the sanctity of sexuality as a stimulating factor of human promiscuity. The liberation that this industry promoted created an image in the mind of men for what the purpose and function of a woman is. This image was that women were there to sexually please rather than to mother children. This thought created a backlash among women which was a creation of the anti-thesis called feminism. In perspective the hard-core porn industry was reported by the federal government as a $10 million dollar industry in 1970 and as Forbes has reported in 2001 the Industry has grown to anywhere from $2.6 billion to $3.9 billion. In the same time the FBI reported Forcible Rape crimes grew from 37,990 per year to 90,863 per year.

Feminism – anti-thesis
The 60’s bra burning culture was a direct reflection of a backlash to Pornography, traditional family values, and the conventional roles of a woman at that time. This would prove disastrous for the family structure because of the incredible economic impact that would result of this movement. While the feminist movement was extremely good for demanding the equality in the treatment of women, it destroyed the economic relevance to the one person household income.

With the huge immigration of women into the working market demanding higher wages, the female workforce more than doubled between 1948 -1980 from 15,000,000 to nearly 39,000,000 while the male work force only increased from 39,000,000 to 50,000,000. You can see the Bureau of Labor Statistics report here. With this substantial increase in female workers, the total workforce saw no significant increase to adjust for the increase in female workforce. You can see the Bureau of Labor Statistics report here.

Depletion of Family relevance and the rise of Socialist State – Synthesis
As the influx of workers nearly doubled, the wages dropped significantly. This drop is what made it necessary for the household to have 2 working members. With this necessity now born, the Synthesis was a huge increase in divorce. Divorced percentage of adults more than tripled from 3.2% of all adults in 1970 to 9.9% in 2000 reflected in this AASP census report. This high divorce rate impaired the family’s ability to care for their children. The reliance on the government for public schooling and even welfare increase has become a necessity due to the destruction of the family. Below is a graph that will show the incredible increase in welfare spending:

What needs to be done is a mass revival of the family’s relevance. This only happens through the re-establishment of sacrifice by a generation to reverse the fallacy that men and woman are physiologically equal. That fallacy is apparent in the simple difference in the anatomy of men and women and the purpose that we serve. The providing of a husband and the nurturing of the mother is necessary to propagate a healthy family. A group of healthy families propagates a healthy community. A group of healthy communities propagates a healthy state. 50 healthy States create a healthy country. It is this that will stave off Communism and government dependence in the United States of America.
